Eva Marie Lane is the sole proprieter of Kombucha Queen Kombucha. She has been making kombucha for just over a year, and decided to start selling her wonder drink six months ago after a few friends prompted her.
Eva has lived in Kalamazoo her whole life with the exception of a stint in Texas. Before she found kombucha she worked as a Seva at a yoga studio, and before that in the mental health field. She has two sons, Dante who is seven and Xavier, thirteen. She enjoys riding bikes, playing the mandolin and watching classic sci-fi movies. But her real passion is making kombucha.
Kombucha, in case you aren't familiar with is an ancient health elixir made from fermenting sweet tea with a special live culture called a scoby. The process can be compared to making yogurt or kefir. Kombucha has many health benefits. It contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12 which are great for vitality and energy. It provides healthy acids that aid in digestion such as acetic acid, and L-lactic acid. The over reaching health benefits are immense. Everything from helping your hair grow thicker (you can wash your hair in it, even!), to aiding in weight loss and helping with an overall energetic mood. She encourages anyone to try it at least once and decide for themselves.
